Siam Niramit, "Journey to the Enchanted Kingdom of Siam" is a visually stunning stage show of international standard, that highlights Thailand's arts and cultural heritage - a 'must-see' for visitors wanting an introduction to Thai culture.

Performed in a luxurious 2000-seat theatre, with a massive stage, the show uses over 150 performers, over 500 lavish costumes, and state-of-the-art special effects.

The first act, 'Journey Back into History', depicts some of the important stages in Thailands history. Starting with a scene from the golden era of Thailand's cultural development, a royal procession in the Kingdom of Lanna, we move to the South Seas where overseas trade began; then to Issan in the North to see the impact of the Khmer civilization; and finally to Ayutthaya, the mighty capital, where relations with Western powers first began to flourish.

The second act, 'Journey Beyond Imagination', examines the visions of Hell, the Mystical Forest of Himapaan, and Heaven that are central to the Thai belief in the religious principle of the Law of Karma. The third and final act, 'Journey through Joyous Festivals', visits some of the many merit-making festivals which Thai people celebrate throughout the year. Before the show starts, guests can visit a traditional Thai village with buildings from the four regions of Thailand and demonstrations of traditional rural Thai pastimes.

There are also several restaurants serving Thai/Western buffet-style food and drinks. Show Time is 8.00 p.m. daily, with tickets at Bt 1,500. Siam Niramit is located on Tiamruammit Road, diagonally across from the Thailand Cultural Centre, in Huay Kwang district. A free shuttle service operates from Exit 1 of the Thailand Cultural Centre M.R.T. Station every 15 minutes from 6:00 pm. - 8:00 pm.
